A Victorian Grade II Listed Building the New Continental, Plymouth's largest independent hotel, is situated in the heart of the city centre, adjacent to Plymouth Pavilions and close to the Theatre Royal, Barbican and historic Plymouth Hoe.

Civil Wedding Ceremonies

The hotel is licensed to hold civil marriage ceremonies and commitment ceremonies. Please contact the Plymouth Registry Office on 01752 268331.

Room hire charge for a civil ceremony is £200.00 which includes either a Pedestal of Flowers or Balloon Arch in a colour of your choice.

Banquetting Suites

Our rooms can accommodate from 30 to 250 people for day or evening receptions, providing the perfect setting for your special day no matter what your requirements.

Green Room Licensed for civil weddings for up to 70 guests, and ideal for wedding breakfasts for up to 40 guests.

The Athena Room Available for wedding breakfasts from 40-90 guests and together with the adjoining Roma Room evening receptions up to 200 guests. It is fully air-conditioned, with its own bar and dance facilities.

Ballroom The Ballroom is our largest function room and can cater from 70 to 200 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 250 guests for the evening reception. Fully air-conditioned it also has its own private bar and dance facilities.

The Executive Available for the larger civil ceremony with minimum numbers of 70.

Accommodation

Three Star AA/ETC rated, all 99 en-suite bedrooms have been tastefully and individually decorated and equipped with all the modern amenities to ensure all guests a comfortable and relaxing stay.

With the advantage of our own private car park, we can provide parking for up to 80 vehicles.
