A romantic, newly restored Georgian country house in the heart of the South Hams, Devon. Shilstone provides a selection of stylish wedding venues within the main house and around the extensive grounds.

Civil Wedding Ceremonies
Shilstone has applied for a civil ceremony licence so that you can hold both your ceremony and reception at the estate. We will be delighted to host you on any day of the week and at whatever time you choose.

With an excellent selection of indoor locations as well as a number of fantastic garden and marquee sites, we are on hand to help you create a truly unique wedding day.

Church Ceremonies
If you are looking for a traditional church wedding, we have a number of excellent options within a few miles of Shilstone.

The Reception
At Shilstone we offer a full service from our in-house catering scheme.

Good food and drink is an important part of your wedding day. We use only the finest locally-sourced ingredients to create simple yet stunning dishes. Our head chef Elizabeth King is more than happy to discuss your ideas and work with you to create a bespoke menu.


We have a full selection of wines on offer as well as soft drinks, however if you wish to provide your own we will happily accommodate this.
