Langdon Court, winner of the Westcountry Wedding Award for Best Devon Venue 2011, is a listed Tudor Hotel and Restaurant and is the perfect location for your wedding. Set in 10 acres of historic gardens it offers luxury accommodation & excellent cuisine. Tucked away in the lush rolling scenery of the South Hams & Devon countryside the hotel is a short stroll along the direct path to Wembury Cove and its Ancient Church set high on the cliffs.

The house was built in 1577 with later additions in 1648 and was once the home of Katherine Parr, the sixth wife of Henry VIII.

The expansive gardens add to the tranquility of the hotel and create a wonderful backdrop to the house - perfect for wedding photographs.

Langdon Court Hotel is registered for Civil weddings. The Civil Ceremony can accommodate up to 100 guests.

For couples who require a church wedding the local parish church is popular and is located close to Langdon Court Hotel. Wembury's beautiful, quaint parish church lies right on the coast, at the top of a hill, overlooking the sea. It is dedicated to St. Werburgh, the niece of the Saxon King Ethelred the church has evidence of its 15th century origins.

Reception
Our elegant dining room lends itself to a stylish wedding reception and we can seat up to 100 guests for a formal wedding breakfast. Should you wish to extend your wedding celebrations into the evening we offer informal buffet menus for up to 150 guests. Or for those balmy summer evenings, why not chose a barbeque! Whatever your requirements, we would be happy to tailor menus to suit the tastes of you and your guests.
