Set in 80 acres of its own magnificent grounds and boasting England’s Highest Waterfall, Canonteign Estate with its sweeping driveway, waterfalls, ancient woodlands, lakes, wildlife and outstanding views across Dartmoor National Park, is truly one of the most romantic wedding venues in the region.

Steeped in local history, and once home to Lord Exmouth, Canonteign House is one of the most romantic wedding venues in Devon and the perfect venue for intimate ceremonies or a grander affair.

Licensed for civil weddings, wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions the Estate can accommodate parties of 10 to 250+ and offers some of the most spectacular backdrops for your wedding day photographs.

The Fern Room, overlooking the landscaped gardens and fountains is an idyllic setting for a champagne and canapes reception on the terrace, with spectacular views across Devon and Dartmoor, and our marquee area overlooking the lakes and waterfalls makes a delightful venue for your wedding breakfast or wedding reception.

The Estate is also the perfect venue for an informal country wedding. Our covered barn will seat 75 guests, spilling out onto a pretty courtyard overlooking the lakes and national parkland.
