For Him and For Her
It is easy to get carried away looking for the wedding dress of your dreams and as the bride you will be sure to be the centre of attention, however, don’t forget to spare a thought for your fiancé! Do you know what his preferred look is – is he going to be more comfortable in a more casual looking suit rather than a hat and tails reminiscent of a Jane Austin novel? Where you plan to get married and what time of year should be a consideration in the choice of dress and formal wear you decide on.

An unfussy suit and a lighter weight dress with simple lines would be more suited if you are considering a beachside wedding, particularly if you plan on having photos taken of you down on the sand. Top hats and cravats, on the other hand would look great if your wedding ceremony or reception is set in a 17th century country mansion house, providing your style of dress also matches the occasion.
A smart waistcoat really is a must if you want your fiancé, best man and ushers to look their best. Creams and golds are popular colours for waistcoats but other colours work well providing they co-ordinate with the colour scheme of the wedding. It is usual for cravats to match the colour of the bridesmaid dresses. Velvet, brocades and coloured silks can all help today's groom make that individual impression. It is also quite acceptable for the groom to wear a different length of jacket with the rest of the wedding party in shorter jackets or tails.
